DUSSEHRA
Light is good from whatever lamp it shines, knowledge is good from whatever source it originates. To emphasize the significance of celebrating festivals a special assembly on the occasion of Dussehra was conducted by Class V C. The assembly showed the importance of Dussehra and kept the audience engrossed. If we are able to overcome the evil within us we can help make our society a better place. The students also highlighted the important lessons of life we learn from this festival. Dance is a beautiful form of expression. Many emotions can be expressed through dance may it be happiness, celebration, grief, or even anger. A beautiful dance was performed by students on this occasion.
This auspicious day reminds people of the fact that truth always wins and motivates them to follow the path of dharma.
Summing up, the event was a learning experience for all about our rich Indian culture and values.
WORLD TOURISM DAY
‘Travelling is all about exploring, learning and embracing that adds more meaning to life. It is all about becoming a better person!’
On this WORLD TOURISM DAY, students of class IV A showcased their creativity around ‘Rethinking Tourism’ as part of the special assembly. Students emphasized sustainable and responsible tourism with a focus on promoting tourism in off beat destinations across India. As part of the special assembly students shared relevant information about these places through a mesmerizing series of song and dance.
TEACHER’S DAY
Traditionally, Teachers Day is celebrated on the 5th of September on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Class 5 A students held a special assembly to honour their teachers and show their appreciation. The assembly commenced with a Shloka recital in Sanskrit by the students. Ms Kamaljeet spoke
about the role of the teacher in today’s society which was followed by a beautiful poem recited by our Hindi teacher Ms Neha Pasricha. Students of Class 5 C presented a dance performance depicting the role of teachers in students’ lives.
The administrator congratulated all the teachers and staff members and urged them to keep bringing innovative and engaging ideas and to maintain quality teaching and learning. Ms Surekha Madan aptly named the day as ‘Learners Day’.
NATIONAL RADIO DAY
National Radio Day is commemorated on 20th August to honour one of the oldest mediums of communication. Children of Class II from Manav Sthali Global School participated in special morning assembly to celebrate National Radio Day by telling about radio personalities, Radio Jockeys, famous radio stations and the programmes that make our days refreshing. Children acquainted that radio broadcasts and provide real- time information and most recent updates to listeners.
MOTHER’S DAY
Mothers are those gems who add light and sparkle to our lives. Without their unconditional love we would all be clueless and our lives would have no direction. They are our first teachers and always guide and inspire us to do our best in our lives. So, to recognize the essence of a mother, students of Class 7 conducted a special assembly on Mother’s Day. Students recited poems and showcased their feelings for their mothers. They talked about their mothers being their inspiration and role models and gave the message that each day should be celebrated as Mothers Dat. Love, respect and support must be shown to all mothers, not only on Mother’s Day but everyday.
RABINDERNATH TAGORE’S BIRTHDAY
Students of Class 7, of Manav Sthali Global School conducted a special assembly to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary poet, writer, philosopher, social reformer and painter ‘Rabindernath Tagore’ also known as ‘Gurudev’. Students talked about various works of Tagore like Kabuliwala, The Post Master, etc. and his love for his nation. The audio of his famous poem “Where the mind is without fear” was played, which showcased his love for his nation.
SAFER INTERNET
The Internet is very important because it is the limitless space where people have access to pretty much infinite amounts of information. The internet is where a large amount of knowledge comes from. Digital technologies provide you with a world of possibilities at your fingertips. Never before have we enjoyed so many opportunities to learn, exchange, participate and create. Yet, the internet also opens up certain risks to its users – especially the most vulnerable ones, such as children: privacy concerns, cyber bullying, disinformation, exposure to potentially harmful content and predatory behaviours, to quote but a few. A Special Assembly was conducted by the students of class V on Safer Internet , apprising children on how they can be safe while being online. A poster making activity was organized for class VII students who created awareness on better Internet for Kids, to inspire positive changes online and to raise awareness of the issues that matter to us.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
Christmas the festival that spreads cheer, love and happiness, which marks a closure to the year and give us renewed hopes and aspirations was celebrated in MSGS with much gusto and zeal. The budding vocalists of class II sang Christmas carols and hymns in their soothing voices. Class III presented a dance performance on medley of songs and it was followed by an enactment of skit which enlightened the students about the symbolic decorations used in this festival. The show was wrapped up by the youngest members of the MSGS, our little wonders of nursery who danced and jigged to Christmas carols. Santa, the big jolly old man with white beard distributed candies and wished everyone Merry Christmas. Principal of our school Respected Ramtri Ma’am enriched the children and teachers alike with her inspiring words. She emphasized on being happy and spreading happiness and cheerfulness each day of one’s life. She appreciated the performances of the participants and the efforts put in by the teachers.
World Tourism Day
Students of Class V celebrated World Tourism Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. India has been chosen as the host country to celebrate World Tourism Day 2019 on the theme – ‘ TOURISM AND JOBS : A BETTER FUTURE FOR ALL‘. Children promoted domestic tourism and learnt about various tourist destinations like Kasauli , Chamba , Jaisalmer, Diu Fort , Dalhousie , Nagaland , Tripura and Kashmir. If tourism in India grows , more jobs would be created to promote sustainable development.
Puppet Making Activity
The students of Manav Sthali Global School were engaged in an extraordinary Puppet Making activity on 5th September 2019. This fun activity aimed at introducing the form of puppetry involved the manifestation of inanimate objects. Students were able to learn something about this ancient Art Form. They made beautiful puppets using colourful papers. Each child took home an inspiration and the importance of keeping our ancient form of Art alive.
Teachers’ Day

Manav Sthali Global School celebrated Teacher’s Day with great fun and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted by Class III A. The assembly began with the school prayer followed by ‘Guru Mantra’ and a talk highlighting the contribution of teachers in a student’s life. Few children shared information about great teachers of India. They learned that Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India was a great academician philosopher, one of the most well-known Diplomats, scholar and a great teacher. A melodious song showcasing the love, affection and bonding with the teachers was presented by the students. The students presented a fabulous foot tapping dance performance on this special day. Some children of class V became pupil teachers for the day and took classes. It was very interesting to see them emulating their teachers. Senior teachers inspired the children to learn from their family and school and make everyone feel proud of their achievements.
Earth Day
Earth Day is an important event celebrated worldwide on 22nd April every year to remind everyone to take good care of our planet Earth. The theme for Earth Day this year is ‘Protect the Species’. Every creature and organism has a role to play in life, so it is our duty to protect all organisms. Week long activities were organized at Manav Sthali Global School to make children aware of the fact that our planet is the only habitable planet and it is our responsibility to do everything in our power to make it a better and a safe place to live, not only for ourselves but for our future generations. The activities comprised of making head gears,best out of waste, poster making, creating wrist bands out of left over strips of paper with a message to save the Earth and many more.
A special assembly was conducted on Earth Day wherein our young and enthusiastic environmentalists emphasized upon the need to take care of our planet, through songs, skit, dance and talk shows. The message of the day was conveyed to one and all with great force.

Holi
A special assembly was conducted by IV form on the festival of colours ’Holi’.The students gave valuable information on Holi in the form of a short speech followed by a melodious song. A skit was presented on the legend of Hiranyakashyap and Prahlad. The programme culminated with an energetic dance performance and a pledge to play Eco- friendly Holi.
Christmas
Manav Sthali Global School celebrated Christmas on 24th December in the school premises. 3rd form took the lead in conducting the entire show with gaiety and passion. They rang in the Christmas spirit by sharing the significance of Santa’s spirit in today’s times. This was followed by the story on birth of Jesus Christ presented in the form of a sublime skit. After the skit, everyone’s mood was elevated by the spirited and enthusiastic singing of Christmas Carols. By now the assembly was pulsating with the Christmas spirit, and it was heightened further by a fluid and exuberant dance performance. The show ended with an address by Ms. Ramtri . She shared the profound thought that the key to our own happiness is to make others happy. She also encouraged the children to make their school truly “Global” by setting new benchmarks in academics, conduct and attitude.
Children’s Day
Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Wednesday,14th November 2018 at Manav Sthali Global school, New Rajendra Nagar. The special assembly started with a Talk show on the significance of children’s day by Ms. Divyanshi Khetwani and Ms. Aanya Gupta of class VII. Students sang a melodious song, ‘Here in the school, you may see’ which left the audience mesmerized. Ms. Aanya Gupta, Ms. Meenal Kaushik and Ms. Manpreet Narula of class VII enthralled the audience with their spectacular classical dance performance. It was a perfect combination of lyrics and melody. The programme culminated with encouraging words by the Administrator. She motivated the students to perform their duties with utmost diligence to bring laurels to their school and family as they are the real future of the country. Children acted as pupil teachers. It was amazing to watch how they enacted the character of each teacher. It was obvious the children are adapt at catching all the mannerisms of their teachers. All in all it was an exciting day for everyone.
World Elders Day
Manav Sthali Global school celebrated “World Elders Day” on Saturday, 6th October’18 to inculcate feelings of love and care amongst students towards the elderly. The programme started by paying floral tribute to our Hon’ble Founder, Dr. V.K. Bhatnagar. Mr. Banga, a very supportive and co-operative neighbour was the guest of honour. The programme commenced with a welcome song- “Happy Elder’s Day”. It was followed by an Indian Folk Dance by students of class VII. To showcase a bond between grandparents and grandchildren, the students of class IV presented a wonderful talk show which was applauded by all. The school orchestra group performed a patriotic musical rendition on “Jai Ho”. After the enthralling musical journey, students of VI & VII recited self composed poems on “Grandparents”. Their incredible effort was appreciated by everyone. It was followed by a mesmerising dance performance by students of class IV which created euphoric atmosphere. The grandparents enthusiastically participated in games like- “Drop the Ball” and “Parcel game” which brought the old memories alive. The grandparents shared their thoughts and experiences with the students and motivated them to be good human beings.
They expressed their gratitude to the school for giving them an opportunity to be a part of their grandchildren’s activities who reciprocated by giving a small gift to their grandparents as their token of love and affection
World Smile Day
Manav Sthali Global school celebrated the World Smile Day on Friday, 5th October ’18 with fervor and jubilance. Students of class III planned and organized fun activities for the day ensuring full participation of all classes. Students of Class III were dressed in vibrant hues of orange, blue, red and green thus spreading positivity. The day began by welcoming everyone with a beautiful smile. Students joyfully spread smile everywhere by wishing “Happy SMILE Day!”… Smile Ambassadors of class III visited all classes to conduct various smile activities. Smiley selfie sticks, smiley badges, smiley wall hangings and smiley head gears were some of the beautiful takeaways made by the students. The day turned out exactly as the theme, smiles being spread in the entire school….making Smile contagious and invigorating everyone by smiling and sharing positive emotions! The day provided a perfect opportunity to get students smiling, and help them make others smile too.
Gandhi Jayanti
A special assembly was conducted on Monday, 1st October 2018 by the students of class V at Manav Sthali Global school to pay rich tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th anniversary.
The cultural programme started with the song ’Vaishno Jan to’ in memory of Gandhiji by the students of Class V-C. The audience were also reminded of Gandhiji’s teachings in an interesting skit by class V-A depicting the various incidents of Gandhiji’s life.A highly engaging and motivating talk show by class V-D was also organized where students depicted Bapu’s sterling qualities.A spell bound instrumental music recital truly won the hearts of all present.The school had observed Cleanliness Week form 24th-28th September’18 that culminated at the Gandhi Jayanti celebration.Winning classes were awarded trophies and the students were encouraged to keep the surroundings clean.
The school Administrator concluded the programme by inspiring children to generate awareness on the ‘ Swachhta Abhiyan’ in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi.
After the programme, students of class V-B along with teachers participated in a rally in the neighbourhood areas to spread the awareness on importance of cleanliness.With the help of slogans and colourful placards, they motivated people to maintain cleanliness not just in their surroundings but also in their body,mind and soul.
Sanskrit Day
Manav Sthali Global school conducted a Special Assembly on Friday, 24th August 2018 on the occasion of ’Sanskrit Day’ (26th August 2018). Students presented a beautiful conversation in Sanskrit highlighting the importance of Sanskrit language and its usage worldwide. They also emphasized on Sanskrit being the oldest Indian language. Students recited many shlokas along with their meanings. School’s Administrator, Mrs. Anupama Mehta also shared some amazing facts like Sanskrit being the official language of Uttrakhand, it is the most computer friendly language, students learning Sanskrit are able to concentrate and focus better, it is the language that has the maximum number of synonyms for many words, the word elephant has as many as 100 synonyms, many universities in Germany teach Sanskrit as a part of their curriculum.etc. with the students. The children got motivated to learn this language. We all are proud to belong to a country with such rich cultural heritage.
Senior Citizen Day
A special assembly was conducted at Manav Sthali Global school on Tuesday, 21st August, 2018 to celebrate Senior Citizen Day. Children have memories of spending childhood days with their grandparents. Senior citizens have magnanimous love for their grandchildren. Children learn social values and virtues like honesty, kindness, gratitude, faith, etc. from senior citizens. Grandparents (Senior citizens) with their kind advice and useful tips give a direction to a child’s life. Blessings and wishes of grandparents (Senior citizens) inspire the children and motivate them to take up tougher challenges or tasks in life. Students of Class III-D gave a presentation on the importance of Senior citizens in their lives. The presentation revolved around “Adopting a Grand Parent”. Adopting a grandparent in one’s community or neighborhood can provide emotional and spiritual support to them. The students in their colorful headbands which read “Happy Senior Citizens Day” presented the song “ Nani Tujhe Salaam” as a tribute to the senior citizens. Children were motivated and encouraged to visit old age homes on their birthdays and festivals.
Badge Ceremony of Cultural Council Members
Manav Sthali Global school conducted the Badge Ceremony for the formation of Cultural Council for the session 2018-19 on Thursday, 23rd August’18. Badges were presented to the council members. The student council took the pledge to give their best efforts towards the success of the council and to work with utmost sincerity and diligence.
The motto of the Cultural Council is to instill in students maximum and active participation in co- curricular activities without the fear of winning or loosing. The council is for the students, by the students and of the students.
Students were motivated to fulfil their duties and responsibilities to the best of their abilities. The council members were explained the three key steps for organizing events successfully in the school, i.e, on time Planning, organizing and execution, Review and Control. Badge Ceremony of Anushasit Council Members
Students of today are the visionaries and torch bearers of tomorrow. When an institution develops their personality and skills, it develops responsible human beings with excellent leadership qualities. Keeping this in mind and to nurture its students to be the future leaders, Manav sthali Global school, New Rajendra Nagar, held Badge Ceremony for the newly appointed Anushasit Council on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.The special assembly started with a thought and speech on the importance of discipline in a students life. Badges were presented to the Council Members amidst an enthusiastic audience. After the Badge ceremony, the students took pledge with a promise that they will perform their duties with integrity, faith and excellence. The council members were motivated to be the role model for other students in the school and to work in harmony for maintaining highest standards of discipline in the school.
It was indeed a defining moment for the newly elected council. The ceremony concluded with National Anthem. During the day, the students were shown a presentation on “Discipline and Responsibilty”. The duties and responsibilities were allocated to them. The thought provoking presentation inspired and motivated the students. The presentation ended with a beautiful quotation by John F.Kennedy, “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country. “It was a proud moment for the school.
Special Assembly for the new members of MSJS family
Manav Sthali Global school organized a Special Assembly as a part of orientation for Class III children. The assembly commenced with few exercises and the Morning Prayer followed by Ganesh Vandana.A colorful and thought provoking panel was placed near the stage. It was an informative and interactive session where in the students and teachers interacted with each other. The pledge of being sincere, knowledgeable, courteous and hardworking simply enthralled the environment. There was lot of excitement in the air. A wonderful skit based on funfilled lively activities of the school won the heart of spectators and echoed admiration.
Little kids were motivated and coaxed to create a beautiful, clean and hygienic environment inside and outside the school both. Giving importance to cleanliness drive through quote by Mahatama Gandhi, children of Class V performed,’ The Expressions of the Silent’.
At last a short skit was followed by a stupendous dance performance based on the theme’ Few of my favourite things’ where each and every participant shared few of their favourite things. In between the performances children were encouraged to participate in different activities, events and competitions to achieve Medals and Certificates and become true Manavsthalians. A short address by school’s Principal was filled with inspiring and encouraging words to inculcate values and virtues in students.The assembly was concluded with singing of National Anthem.
